Beauty and the Beast Poem

Who doesn’t love fairy tales? You grow up listening to a string of stories involving heros, villains, and damsels in distress. Fairy tales tell of a magical world that is easy to imagine in a young state of mind. Then, you grow older and the world grows a little colder. Life is frank and all the glitter you once saw, is gone. I’m here to tell you your wrong. While reality is different, fairy tale dreams do not have to stop. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all the fairy tales you loved as a child were given a new modern spin? That’s the mission by an new online magazine called Enchanted Conversation. When you read the list of stories available, prepared to be dazzled and sprinkled with a little bit of glitter.

As a writer, dreamer, and a deep lover of fairy tales, the moment I stumbled across this website, I knew it was a perfect fit for me. They already had Issue I of Sleeping Beauty and the modern tales that writer’s put the character’s into was fascinating, heart warming, and hilarious. I jumped at the chance to write for their upcoming Issue II for Beauty and the Beast.

I sat down and pondered the meaning of Beauty and the Beast today for young girls dreaming of love. Was it possible for a young lady to stumble across a Beast of her own in today’s world? You will have to read my poem to find out.

The new Issue and my poem was published this month!

Check out my poem, entitled, “A Modern Tale of Today’s Young Bell.”

Check out a whole list of modern fairy tales surrounding the story of Beauty and the Beast, Issue II.
